Keep in mind that Ebola and Malaria have very similar symptoms and are often confused on initial diagnoses. Also remember that in Africa there have been many cases where a patient has initially tested negative only to come back and test positive.

Around July 31 the Internet was buzzing about a hospital ER being roped off and a guard standing outside. It was originally said that there was a patient that had traveled to areas outside of the country where infectious disease was prevalent. The country was not named. It was originally said he came in with flu-like symptoms as well as stomach issues. It seemed like it was no time at all before they came out and said that all was fine. The Dr.'s said they didn't even test him for Ebola because his symptoms didn't match those of Ebola and sent him home. It is being reported that he had Malaria! D
ONT FORGET THAT EBOLA AND MALARIA ARE VERY SIMILIAR. READ THE SYMPTOMS AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS THREAD. In fact it is said that many times Doctors misdiagnose because the symptoms are so similar. We will just have to watch and see if anything comes of this.http://www.wsoctv.com/news/news/local/part-cmc-er-roped-officials-say-patient-being-test/ngq2K/
