Treason, High Treason or just a Bump in the Road

Before you start reading I want to warn you this post is legnthy. I have compiled some very important news stories and links. Normally I would just post a headline and link or a few snippets from each story but I felt like most of these stories needed to be posted in their entirety.

I no longer recognize this country we live in, and I don't understand why there is no outrage. Why are there no calls for impeachment? This makes the Monica Lewinksy scandal and Watergate look like a minor playground scuffle.

Please take the time to read or skim through the articles I've posted and think about the term "treason" and what it means. I have posted a definition below....you decide if it fits. As for me....I'm loosing faith and hope in what used to be my America.

Treason is defined as follows....

1. Betrayal of country: a violation of the allegiance owed by somebody to his or her own country, e.g. by aiding an enemy.

2. Treachery: betrayal or disloyalty

3. Act of betrayal: an act of betrayal or disloyalty

High Treason is defined as follows....

Treason against homeland: treason perpetrated by somebody against his or her own country

EXCLUSIVE: CIA operators were denied request for help during Benghazi attack, sources say

Fox News has learned from sources who were on the ground in Benghazi that an urgent request from the CIA annex for military back-up during the attack on the U.S. consulate and subsequent attack several hours later on the annex itself was denied by the CIA chain of command -- who also told the CIA operators twice to "stand down" rather than help the ambassador's team when shots were heard at approximately 9:40 p.m. in Benghazi on Sept. 11.

Former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods was part of a small team who was at the CIA annex about a mile from the U.S. consulate where Ambassador Chris Stevens and his team came under attack. When he and others heard the shots fired, they informed their higher-ups at the annex to tell them what they were hearing and requested permission to go to the consulate and help out. They were told to "stand down," according to sources familiar with the exchange. Soon after, they were again told to "stand down."

Woods and at least two others ignored those orders and made their way to the consulate which at that point was on fire. Shots were exchanged. The rescue team from the CIA annex evacuated those who remained at the consulate and Sean Smith, who had been killed in the initial attack. They could not find the ambassador and returned to the CIA annex at about midnight.

At that point, they called again for military support and help because they were taking fire at the CIA safe house, or annex. The request was denied. There were no communications problems at the annex, according those present at the compound. The team was in constant radio contact with their headquarters. In fact, at least one member of the team was on the roof of the annex manning a heavy machine gun when mortars were fired at the CIA compound. The security officer had a laser on the target that was firing and repeatedly requested back-up support from a Spectre gunship, which is commonly used by U.S. Special Operations forces to provide support to Special Operations teams on the ground involved in intense firefights.

CIA spokeswoman Jennifer Youngblood, though, denied the claims that requests for support were turned down.
"We can say with confidence that the Agency reacted quickly to aid our colleagues during that terrible evening in Benghazi," she said. "Moreover, no one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate. In fact, it is important to remember how many lives were saved by courageous Americans who put their own safety at risk that night-and that some of those selfless Americans gave their lives in the effort to rescue their comrades."

The fighting at the CIA annex went on for more than four hours -- enough time for any planes based in Sigonella Air base, just 480 miles away, to arrive. Fox News has also learned that two separate Tier One Special operations forces were told to wait, among them Delta Force operators.
Watch "Special Report Investigates: Benghazi -- New Revelations" on Fox News at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, 3 p.m. on Sunday and 10 p.m. on Sunday.

A Special Operations team, or CIF which stands for Commanders in Extremis Force, operating in Central Europe had been moved to Sigonella, Italy, but they were never told to deploy. In fact, a Pentagon official says there were never any requests to deploy assets from outside the country. A second force that specializes in counterterrorism rescues was on hand at Sigonella, according to senior military and intelligence sources. According to those sources, they could have flown to Benghazi in less than two hours. They were the same distance to Benghazi as those that were sent from Tripoli. Spectre gunships are commonly used by the Special Operations community to provide close air support.

According to sources on the ground during the attack, the special operator on the roof of the CIA annex had visual contact and a laser pointing at the Libyan mortar team that was targeting the CIA annex. The operators were calling in coordinates of where the Libyan forces were firing from.
Defense Secretary Leon Panetta told reporters at the Pentagon on Thursday that there was not a clear enough picture of what was occurring on the ground in Benghazi to send help.

"There's a lot of Monday morning quarterbacking going on here," Panetta said Thursday. "But the basic principle here ... is that you don't deploy forces into harm's way without knowing what's going on."

U.S. officials argue that there was a period of several hours when the fighting stopped before the mortars were fired at the annex, leading officials to believe the attack was over.

Fox News has learned that there were two military surveillance drones redirected to Benghazi shortly after the attack on the consulate began. They were already in the vicinity. The second surveillance craft was sent to relieve the first drone, perhaps due to fuel issues. Both were capable of sending real time visuals back to U.S. officials in Washington, D.C. Any U.S. official or agency with the proper clearance, including the White House Situation Room, State Department, CIA, Pentagon and others, could call up that video in real time on their computers.

Tyrone Woods was later joined at the scene by fellow former Navy SEAL Glen Doherty, who was sent in from Tripoli as part of a Global Response Staff or GRS that provides security to CIA case officers and provides countersurveillance and surveillance protection. They were killed by a mortar shell at 4 a.m. Libyan time, nearly seven hours after the attack on the consulate began -- a window that represented more than enough time for the U.S. military to send back-up from nearby bases in Europe, according to sources familiar with Special Operations. Four mortars were fired at the annex. The first one struck outside the annex. Three more hit the annex.

A motorcade of dozens of Libyan vehicles, some mounted with 50 caliber machine guns, belonging to the February 17th Brigades, a Libyan militia which is friendly to the U.S., finally showed up at the CIA annex at approximately 3 a.m. An American Quick Reaction Force sent from Tripoli had arrived at the Benghazi airport at 2 a.m. (four hours after the initial attack on the consulate) and was delayed for 45 minutes at the airport because they could not at first get transportation, allegedly due to confusion among Libyan militias who were supposed to escort them to the annex, according to Benghazi sources.

The American special operators, Woods, Doherty and at least two others were part of the Global Response Staff, a CIA element, based at the CIA annex and were protecting CIA operators who were part of a mission to track and repurchase arms in Benghazi that had proliferated in the wake of Muammar Qaddafi's fall. Part of their mission was to find the more than 20,000 missing MANPADS, or shoulder-held missiles capable of bringing down a commercial aircraft. According to a source on the ground at the time of the attack, the team inside the CIA annex had captured three Libyan attackers and was forced to hand them over to the Libyans. U.S. officials do not know what happened to those three attackers and whether they were released by the Libyan forces.

Fox News has also learned that Stevens was in Benghazi that day to be present at the opening of an English-language school being started by the Libyan farmer who helped save an American pilot who had been shot down by pro-Qaddafi forces during the initial war to overthrow the regime. That farmer saved the life of the American pilot and the ambassador wanted to be present to launch the Libyan rescuer's new school.

Petraeus Throws Obama Under the Bus

Breaking news on Benghazi: the CIA spokesman, presumably at the direction of CIA director David Petraeus, has put out this statement: "No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate.

So who in the government did tell “anybody” not to help those in need? Someone decided not to send in military assets to help those Agency operators. Would the secretary of defense make such a decision on his own? No.

It would have been a presidential decision. There was presumably a rationale for such a decision. What was it? When and why—and based on whose counsel obtained in what meetings or conversations—did President Obama decide against sending in military assets to help the Americans in need?

'Did your son always have balls the size of cue balls?' Biden's bizarre question angers father of Navy SEAL who died in Benghazi attack

  • VP made inappropriate comment to Charles Woods, father of SEAL Tyrone
  • Father angered by White House reaction to deadly assault in Benghazi
  • Said meeting Obama was 'like shaking hands with a dead fish'
  • Accused Hillary of not telling the truth when she linked consulate raid to anti-Muslim YouTube videoBy Hugo Gye

The father of one of the Navy SEALs who was killed in the Libya consulate attack has criticised the White House reaction to his son's death - especially a bizarre and obscene comment Joe Biden made to him.
Charles Woods, father of Tyrone Woods, said he thought Barack Obama had 'no remorse' over the attack and felt Hillary Clinton was 'not telling the truth'.
And he revealed that at the ceremony for the return of Tyrone's body, the Vice President approached his family and asked, 'Did your son always have balls the size of cue balls?'
Mr Woods added that the President seemed cold and distant at the time, saying: 'Shaking hands with him, quite frankly, was like shaking hands with a dead fish.'

Mr Woods launched his blistering attack on the Obama administration during an interview with Glenn Beck on The Blaze yesterday.
Tyrone died on September 11 alongside his colleague Glen Doherty while the pair were protecting a CIA building next to the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
Ambassador Chris Stevens and diplomat Sean Smith were also killed in the raid, which has become a controversial issue in next month's presidential election due to ongoing confusion over how much the administration knew about the circumstances of the attack..

Mr Woods told Mr Beck that he was disappointed by his meeting with senior officials at the event marking the return of the dead men's bodies.
He said that Mr Biden had acted inappropriately, asking the Woods family in a 'loud and boisterous' tone, 'Did your son always have balls the size of cue balls?'
Mr Woods asked, 'Are these the words of someone who is sorry?'
The President, by contrast, was apparently much more subdued, to the point of coldness.
'When he finally came over to where we were, I could tell that he was rather conflicted, a person who was not at peace with himself,' Mr Woods said.
'Shaking hands with him, quite frankly, was like shaking hands with a dead fish. His face was pointed towards me but he would not look me in the eye, his eyes were over my shoulder.
'I could tell that he was not sorry. He had no remorse.'
When Mr Woods met Mrs Clinton, she made a reference to the U.S.-made YouTube video mocking the Prophet Muhammad which was originally thought to have been behind the attack.
'When she said that, I could tell that she was not telling me the truth,' he said.
His recollection of the reception differs sharply from that of Tyrone's mother, who last month took to Facebook to praise the officials who organised the event.
Writing about the repatriation of her son's body, Cheryl Croft Bennett said: 'The entire afternoon was overpowering and unreal.
'Little did I know that I would find myself in a reception room being comforted, hugged, and, yes, even kissed by the President of the United States. Along with the President, there was Vice-President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, and General and Mrs Colin Powell.
'They were all wonderful. They held my hand, offered condolences, gave warm hugs, and were extremely compassionate and genuinely sad for my loss, as I fought back tears and tried to project an image of strength to honor my SEAL son.'
Mr Woods also denounced the White House for officials' failure to protect the four Americans, saying: 'They denied the pleas for help and they watched my son die.'
In a statement he described Tyrone as 'a true American hero' who had 'voluntarily sacrificed his life to protect the lives of other Americans'.
He called for further investigation of the circumstance of the attack, concluding: 'This is an opportunity for the person or persons who made the decision to sacrifice my son's life to stand up.'
This is not the first time a parent of one of the victims has publicly spoken out against the President's handling of the tragedy.
Sean Smith's mother Pat last week slammed Obama for describing the situation as 'not optimal', telling MailOnline, 'It's insensitive to say my son is not very optimal - he is also very dead.'
She added: 'I am still waiting for the truth to come out and I still want to know the truth. I'm finally starting to get some answers but I won't give up.'
The Benghazi raid has become one of the most divisive issues in the presidential battle between Obama and his Republican opponent Mitt Romney.
GOP congressmen have accused the White House and the State Department of misleading the nation by pinning the attack on the anti-Islam video, entitled Innocence of Muslims, when there were early signs that it had been a premeditated terrorist operation.
In addition, government officials have been criticised for scaling back security in Benghazi over the summer, despite Stevens' concerns about his safety and that of his team.

Will The Leader of the U.S. Please Stand Up...Raise Your Hand...Something?

I sat up last night posting links to news stories that I was finding on the web regarding what was going on with the attack on our embassies and anything that could be tied to it. I made a long blog post of everything that I found. Today I sat and watched part of the Memorial Service and cried for our four fellow Americans and their families....I also cried for all of us. The tears were a mixture of sadness for the lives lost, and the families that will never hold their own again. They were also tears of frustration and uncertainty.

I'm 40 yrs old and since I was a young girl I have watched the news and stayed current on what was going on around us. That was one thing that my Daddy instilled in me. He always told us we needed to open our eyes and know what was going on around us and I took that to heart at a young age. As a young girl, I remember listening to the radio nonstop when John Lennon was gunned down because it was news. I was glued to the TV when Reagan was shot. When George Bush Sr was up for election I played at making up questions that I would ask if I had the opportunity. When I got older my boyfriend was in the Airforce. During Dessert Shield and Dessert Storm I went to support meetings, organized a college wide rally....I tried to find out everything I could about what was going on with the war. After we married (now divorced) and moved overseas my Patriotism grew even stronger and my desire to know about things around me grew. It's just something that is part of how I tick. I have spent nights reading about Political figures (those that I agreed with and didn't agree with) and devouring internet news as well as regular news.

In saying that, I can honestly say that I have never felt the way I feel at this very moment. I can count a few times in my life that there was a moment that stood out to me. A moment that I knew that life was changing. This feels like one of those moments. I just can't explain it. For the past few days I have watched apologies being thrown out to people who have every intention of causing as much harm and destruction as possible to our people and our interest. I have listened to blame being placed on some movie clip. What I haven't heard or seen is a hell-fire stand for our Country. I haven't seen one person in the Administration get off the fence, stop worrying about what those other countries may think, and stand up for America. We have had some dilly-dallying over the ramifications of free speech....well...I ask you..do we have free speech or not? The last I checked it was a guaranteed right in our Constitution.

We don't have time for a free speech debate. We don't have time to argue politics. I don't care if the President is Republican, Democrat or a Third Party whoever....He is supposed to be the leader of our country and by God he needs to step his butt up and start leading. I don't personally care for his politics or policy making decisions but stand up for us PLEASE. I want the security of knowing that my President will take no crap when it comes to his Country. It's kind of like a child knows that he/she is safe with their parents. My kids know that if anyone or anything threatens them, or Heaven forbid hurts one of them, there will be hell to pay. We should have that same feeling with our Administration even if we don't agree with them on policy. For the first time in my life I feel an uncertainty that I have never felt....even on 9/11. Who is leading us and where are we going? For the first time I don't know.

They voted Nay Three Times

Democrats' Boo-God Moment Puts Black, Latino Faithful in 'Tough Place'

The DNC ran into a stumbling block when a motion by former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland to insert the words "God" and "Jerusalem" back into the Democratic Party's platform after the platform committee passed the original version omitting the words required a voice vote in the party's convention hall.
Three roll call votes were taken as the "aye" and "no" voice votes were too close to call. The amendments needed a two-thirds majority approval to pass. After it was determined that the motions passed, many booed.

Democrats Boo As God & Jerusalem Put Into Platform – Ban Christian Gift Baskets at Convention
http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/09/democrats-boo-god-jerusalem-ban-christian-gift-baskets-at-convention/

There are many more links, but it's not hard to google because they come right up.

After seeing and hearing this vote with my own eyes and ears I was dumbfounded. Had I been in that facility I would've been looking for the closest exit, especially if I had been sitting by someone BOOING. I would not have walked down the street with anyone who had participated in all of that because I would have been fearful of lightning. Don't get me wrong I don't view myself as a pious individual. I sin everyday....no roadmap or tutorial is needed....but to blatantly shake your fist at God is not something that I could see myself doing. Some say that the BOOS were for Jerusalem and not at God, but I really don't see the difference considering that Israel is God's chosen. I have friends who are "Democrat" and are Christian. I don't judge them by what their counter-parts did, but I have to say that I fear for them. The whole guilty by association thing. To be honest I fear for us all.

Not long ago I read a book called "The Harbinger" by Johnathan Cahn. It was a real eye-opener as to the ramifications we face for our actions. Of course, it is a work of fiction, but it made me seriously think about the path that we have taken as a country. I couldn't help but take a look at the role that I have personally played in that direction because when it all comes down to it we are all responsible. There are consequences for our wrong actions just as there are blessings for our right actions. We will all have to face one or the other. With reading the book, seeing the vote of Nay, and watching as our Embassies are being attacked as I type this I'm taking even a more serious look at my life, what matters for my family and what I need to change personally.

The blessing in all of this is that I KNOW that being a child of God means that even if I may deny him in my actions, which is no different than standing up at the DNC and voting Nay, He will not deny me. He will not leave me. I belong to Him and with Him I always have a way home.

Flash mobs...coming to a location close to you???

Hanging out in parking lots, dead end roads and even renting hotel rooms to throw parties were my generation's pastime. In the town that we grew up in there was NOTHING to do other than ride the roads and move from parking lot to parking lot....listen to music and hang out. There was no "big" mischief, only typical teenage experimentation...cigarettes, cheap quart-size beer or Boone's Strawberry Hill.

Looks like the newer generation has found something "better" to do. Flash mobs! I had heard about it but never paid much attention to it until I read a couple of stories today. The incidents took place on opposite ends of the country and both involved teenage/young adults. I watched the videos. and all I can say is I pray I am nowhere with my kids when something like this takes place. I can also say with certainty that if my kids EVER participate in something like this they best make sure their face doesn't show up on youtube.

You read....judge for yourself. Harmless or potential for danger?

TROUTDALE -- A flash rob group of teens targeted a Troutdale store last weekend and investigators are trying to identify the suspects.
Investigators said as many as 40 kids entered the Albertsons store at 25691 SE Stark Street at the same time late Saturday night and started stealing things.
Raw video: Flash robbery
Security officers chased the thieves out, but no one was captured. They also left employees pretty shaken up, including one woman who was in tears after getting terrorized by the robbers.
Investigators have not said exactly how many items were taken.
"Basically it looks like they went in, just to cause chaos, which they accomplished," said Sgt. Steve Bevens with the Troutdale Police Department.
Investigators believe the suspects ranged in age from 13 to 15. They could be seen on surveillance video, roaming from aisle to aisle.
Customers said the store employees were overwhelmed and outnumbered.
"They [thieves] were bragging and laughing about how much stuff they stole and what they did in the store," one witness told KGW.
If caught, the suspects could face several charges including rioting, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
This was one of several flash rob-style robberies being investigated in the Portland Metro area over past months.
The robbers emulate the popular and peaceful flash mob gatherings now common throughout the world. Instead of synchronzied entertainment, those in a flash rob use a large gathering as a source of distraction as they commit a crime.

Saturday Night Flash Mob Takes Over Jacksonville Walmart
http://jacksonville.com/news/crime/2012-07-17/story/saturday-night-flash-mob-takes-over-jacksonville-wal-mart

A huge Saturday night house party broken up by police in a North Jacksonville subdivision ended with one man shot in the leg as he and hundreds of other partygoers fled the officers' arrival.
But the party didn't stop at the home in the 12000 block of Sampson Road, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Hundreds of its teenage partyers ignited a flash mob about 90 minutes later at the Walmart Supercenter at 12100 Lem Turner Road. They took over the produce section and caused havoc that was recorded and posted on YouTube.
Officers were called just before 10 p.m. on a report of a "large house party," calling in more units to provide crowd and traffic control, according to the police report. As police were clearing the scene, an officer was alerted to a gunshot victim at Shands Jacksonville who had been shot in the right leg as he was leaving the party.
Slideshow: Mug shots around the First Coast
The 20-year-old Lem Turner Road resident told police he heard several gunshots as he reached Sampson and Percy roads, so he started running. He stumbled and fell, which is when he realized he had been shot. He said he didn't see a gun or anyone who could have shot him since "the crowd of people was so large," according to the report.
Officers at the scene as well as residents who live nearby didn't report hearing any shots.
Several hundred people who left the "massive house party" moved on to the Walmart about 11:20 p.m., and more shots were fired there, according to a second police report. Officers dispatched to the store found out that it had been mobbed, with produce being thrown.
Most of the crowd appeared to be teens on the YouTube video. The flash mob only lasts about three minutes on YouTube, but apparently lasted longer as people are seen riding in shopping carts, throwing items and mugging for the camera.
No identifiable Walmart employee is seen intervening during the video, which ends with at least one person yelling "Hey, let's go to Wendy's" in the parking lot.
Gunshots were apparently fired into the air outside the store, but no cars or people were hit, according to the police report.
A store security scanner at the front door was damaged.

Voting NO to the "O"

"Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.".....President John F. Kennedy

At the time that this historic statement was made by an iconic President, our country and people were a different breed. Sure there were still "good ole Washington Politicians" but America still stood for something and we were a proud people. We still had our struggles with issues regarding Cuba, Russia and Civil Rights, but we still had a moral standard that seems to have simply diminished.

When JFK spoke this historic line it was not a call for us to hand over what we have worked so hard for to someone who sits home watching the soaps, collecting a check and helping to increase the population. To me....this is a call to stand as an American and support our country and constitution.
In November I plan to do just that by voting NO to the O.

Cheesy Beef Bites...Easy Sandwich...Big Batch

Love, Love, LOVE this sandwich!! It also makes up a lot, so it would be a great recipe to fix for casual company, kid sleepovers or just to freeze individually.

What you need:

1 lb of hamburger
1 pkg of french onion soup
2 tbsp of parsley flakes
1/4 c. of water
2 packs of hamburger buns (I got 12 sandwiches out of 1 lb of hamburger)
At least 2 c. shredded cheese (I didn't measure mine)

Before we get started let me first say that the original recipe called for french bread, but I found using hamburger buns to be better for us. This is a great recipe to use left over hamburger buns and hot dog buns....it's just a matter of preference.

While your hamburger meat is cooking, pull your bread of choice out. You want to "hollow-out" the thickest part of your bread which is the top portion on buns.

Once your hamburger meat is fully cooked, drain the grease. Then add the packet of French Onion Soup Mix, two tablespoons of parsley and 1/4 c. of water. Make sure the burner is on low and stir really good. Now all you do is fill the "hollowed out" portion of your bread with the meat mixture.

Then sprinkle with your choice of cheese....Monterrey is fabulous, but I only had cheddar/Monterrey mix

Wrap it nice and neatly......

Pop these babies in the oven for about 10 min on 350 degrees and ENJOY!!!!
